According to Bloomberg, Apple is working on bundling all its subscription services together. With the iPhone 12 lineup, this upcoming subscription bundle will arrive in the market. The bundles are referred to as ‘Apple One’ though it won’t get launched under this name.
In this subscription bundle, various tiers will be available that include a basic combo of Apple Music and Apple TV+, Apple News+, Apple Arcade, and the iCloud storage. Moreover, the high-end bundles of Apple will include an as-yet-unseen fitness subscription service. With the high-end bundle, users will get virtual classes and workouts and they can access it via the iOS app on an Apple TV.
Bloomberg reports states that the subscription bundles will be marketed towards families. It will work with the Family Sharing system by Apple. It ensures six individuals can access each service. The subscription bundle will cost cheaper than individual services. According to Bloomberg, if a family subscribes to all the major services along with the iCloud storage, it will cost approximately $45 monthly.
Before the final launch, the composition of every bundle can be changed according to the report. The launching of the new bundles is scheduled in October. The upcoming version of the iOS 14 will examine the apps and suggest the most suitable package. For several years Apple has also tried some various schemes to enhance the adoption. Bloomberg also mentioned additional bundles, software and hardware combinations by Apple. With a purchase of an Apple TV streaming box, there will be one year of free Apple Arcade subscription. So if anyone purchases a new Apple device and after purchasing redeem the relevant offers within 90 days, the user will instantly get the support of apple TV+ for a year. The user can enjoy Apple-funded movies and TV shows, along with the Apple Music student plan.
The pricing of the subscription bundles has not been specified yet. And, before the unveiling of the bundles, the pricing details will change. By the end of this year, Apple targets to cross 600 million paid subscribers and it is on track to meet this target. Though last year, Apple initiated its TV+ streaming service, this year, there will be similar tie-ins with the ‘Apple One’ and the iPhone 12.
